Shinobi: Art of Vengeance should serve as a blueprint for delivering a retro-facing experience of an absentee franchise while still leveraging modern technology and game design conventions.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance should serve as a blueprint for delivering a retro-facing experience of an absentee franchise while still leveraging modern technology and game design conventions. For this first Shinobi game since 2011, Sega worked with developer Lizardcube, the studio behind prior revivals of Streets of Rage and Wonder Boy. That decision paid off, as Lizardcube’s incredible art style makes for one of the most beautiful games of the year. When things really went sideways, I changed the tides of fate with Ninjutsu arts, which either deal damage to all enemies or heal Musashi. And you’ll need to leverage all moves at your fingertips, as the game’s 15-hour campaign offers creative and challenging combat scenarios that only intensify when you reach the pulse-pounding boss of each stage.
Jobs guru Amir Satvat joins us to share data on the state of the video game jobs market
Amir Satvat told The Game Business that North America is, by far, the hardest hit area when it comes to job cuts.“And here’s another stat, over 50% of the cuts globally have been in California. California AAA is like the epicenter of the difficulty.” · As a result, Satvat said flexibility is key to finding work in games. There’s that famous moment during the Wii U era when Nintendo decided to cut management salaries instead of staff when it ran into financial difficultly. But I also brought up why Nintendo is often reluctant to buy companies. The platform holder’s position is that a company is a collection of people, and people can just leave.Today, it’s a bit of a different Show to our usual Thursday News Show. We’ve been joined by Amir Satvat, the Tencent exec who has made a name for himself via the Amir Satvat’s Games Community, a completely free resource designed to help people looking for jobs in video games.

Waka Studio announced its new party game, Cut That Wire which is planned to release on PC via Steam in 2025In this game, players will work together to deactivate bombs strapped to their chests, playing minigames to deduce who is secretly an imposter, conniving against them. After each round, players will have to vote for the suspected fraudster to cut one of their wires, eliminate the imposter to win.One lucky victim plays the Engineer, who sees one safe wire that can be cut without detonation. As the imposter, deceive, manipulate and outwit everyone to survive but one wrong move could blow everything apart. Each round throws players into tense ‘Big Bluff’ mini-games that test quick thinking and deception. After each round, the group votes on who must cut a wire. The chosen player flips a coin: blue cuts their own wire, red cuts someone else’s. Imposters know which wires are lethal and must manipulate the others into fatal mistakes. One player, the Engineer, can identify a single safe wire and must try to steer the group, but convincing others isn’t guaranteed and even one hesitation can cost lives.

Kicking things off is Death Stranding: Director's Cut.Hideo Kojima's first game after his departure from Konami, Death Stranding is a strange but engaging game about getting cargo from point A to B while being mindful of the terrain, rain that steals time, and invisible dead creatures known as BTs. It has a slow start, but once things pick up, the game quickly evolves into a breathtaking tour of the US. This is the Director's Cut as well, so you're getting numerous enhancements and gameplay refinements.Disclosure: GameSpot and Fanatical are both owned by Fandom. Over the past few months, the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker speedrunning community has been honing a new discovery that has already managed to cut the standing any% world record in half – and then some. The problem, as with Ocarina of Time beforehand, is that this technique changes the run so completely that the community is essentially having to write a whole new rulebook for it. The new discovery allows for arbitrary code execution, or ACE, which essentially allows players to manipulate the game's code while it's running in order to warp directly to the end credits.Speedrunning is one thing, but figuring out what a legal run looks like is quite anotherA similar glitch broke Ocarina of Time wide open a few years ago, and that game is now split between numerous categories – ACE glitches change the act of speedrunning so dramatically that many players prefer to stick to running with less profoundly broken techniques. It starts by setting up the second, third, and fourth controllers with extremely specific inputs, and then doing a "text stacking glitch with the Picto Box," as minimini352 explains in the video. "You get two texts on the screen at the same time and you close them in the right way. If you do it properly, you can get a crash where the game basically is reading some pictograph data and tries to read it as an address.

This is the place for indie devs and gamers to share anything, be it game development, their favorite games or just cool images, GIFs and music from an indie game in a casual community-run environment. If you're an indie gamer, this place welcomes you too! After all, every gamer is a potential indie developer! ... Steam's 30% cut is fine as it is.Whilst a GDC survey (with 3k responses) had an overwhelming majority say the cut should be lowered, I was curious and wanted to ask that same question in a place with a lot more people who are indie devs (like this) to see if it'd be the same response or different. Share ... You're basically asking: "All else being equal, would you like more money?" It's insane to answer anything other than "Yes, please!". What we really need is more storefront competition. Serious (looking at you, Epic) competition. ... Most bigger games are available on many different storefronts though. So when Epic said they'd charge 12%, my expectation was that games would cost proportionately less to consumer (as the publisher gets the same amount), and Steam, at best, becomes a showroom for people shopping on Epic (like some physical stores at one time became showrooms for Amazon). Early on, Steam announced they'll lower their cut to 20% for larger games, thus signaling to Epic that they're not averse to price competition (and confirming that at least 10 of the 30% is pure profit -- as if we didn't know that already). You play on PS5 because your PS4 games still work and you have a lot of them from PS Plus, and you get PS6 some day because you already have so many PS5 games. More replies More replies More replies ... I talked to a Steam rep at PAX and he gave me a pretty insistent explanation about Valve's cut, something about foreign currency exchange eating up any profit Valve might have been getting.
Jake Moody missed his first field-goal try of 2025, and the 49ers are quickly paying the price for failing to admit he's a draft bust.
And it wouldn't be surprising to see Shanahan eliminate any chances for redemption on a field-goal try for the rest of the game, at least until the 49ers can engineer a roster move.
